Please join us in welcoming back neighbours, friends and passersby to visit our popular Christmas Tree Festival which started back in 2007.
Local groups, businesses, charities, schools and organisations are invited to decorate a small tree (4ft), with a theme of their choice. In many cases groups choose their decorations to represent the activities of their organisation.
A 4ft artificial tree will be provided although you may provide your own 4ft tree (real or artificial) if you prefer. There is no charge to take part.
If your business or group would like to decorate a tree please
email: hmctrees@yahoo.com by 20th November at the latest
Please provide a short narrative (max 100 words) about your business, group or activity to be included in the program.
The tree festival will open on Saturday 5th December to coincide with our Christmas Fayre. It will stay open on the Saturday afternoon and will reopen on the afternoon of Sunday 6th December. There will be various children's activities alongside during these 2 days as well as refreshments being available. The trees will stay in place throughout December for people visiting our special services and events to admire.
There will not be a charge to visit the tree festival but we will encourage visitors to make a donation to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd
The Church will be open for tree dressing between 2pm and 5pm on 1st, 2nd and 3rd December and between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday 3rd December (different times by arrangement if necessary).
An electricity supply will be available for your low voltage tree lights if requested.
Dismantling and collection of decorations to take place week starting January 3rd (following Sunday Service).
We can do this for you if we are given instructions regarding disposal, retrieval, delivery of decorations.
